The Heart of Carmel
For me, the spiritual life is bound up with the ordinary, the everyday things. I am not always conscious of this. Still, a million times a day, I am saying, “Thank you, Lord.”
I am absolutely sure that God is acting in me and affecting my life. My focus is the presence of God. No matter what I am doing or where I am, I am conscious that I am present to God and God is present to me. For me, the heart of Carmelite spirituality is living in the presence of God and being faithful to the grace of the moment.
